ADG will offer many great opportunities for you to build confidence in yourself and “arm” you with increased positivity and self-worthiness as you grow into adolescence and beyond. Books are carefully selected for you to read, enjoy, discuss and learn lessons. The book characters are girls so it is relatable and the stories are realistically fiction where you can see yourself or put yourself in the character’s shoes. The book characters reflect cultural and ethnical diversity. You bond and make friendships with girls that can last a lifetime.
Middle
School
ADG will offer you a safe space for you to build your confidence through expressing your thoughts and feelings while learning real-life type lessons. What you say is never ridiculed. ADG is all about building you up! ADG is where positive voices are uplifted, and learning to claim independence and fearlessness is encouraged. The books are age appropriate for middle schoolers where the topics are relevant and relatable as the characters reflect culturally diverse backgrounds.
High School
ADG will empower you to be your best self through building confidence, perseverance and resilience by reading relevant and entertaining books. ADG encourages empowerment through rich discussion and the free expression of your thoughts, feelings, fears, and challenges. It matters that your voice is heard in a safe space free from judgment, bullying and ridicule. ADG also encourages participants to use their voice to self-advocate for what they need and to combat injustice. ADG is a safe place where you learn to use your confidence to tap into your passions and convictions. Healthy inner self-reflection creates a healthier person.
